Restoring a Quicksilver MX2 Sprint – needing new sails I decided to cover it the old way and install wood ribs so I can cover the bottom of the wing as well – using 1/8″ ply with 1″ cap strips.
Question = should I pre-glue the ribs caps before shrinking since I don’t plan to stitch the ribs ?

Either way works but with the Light fabric you can brush glue down through the weave easily and bond the fabric to the ribs after shrinking the fabric. When you have a dried bed layer of glue on the ribs it makes it a little harder for the fabric to glide over them when shrinking
